Musical storytelling performance based on the book of the same name by Ida Vos. The war story of Bert Vos’s Jewish family and his own story as a child of Jewish people in hiding. “Mama, why do we have so little family?”
When I was seven, I already knew that my mother had experienced something so big that I was not allowed to ask questions about it. Bert’s mother, the Jewish writer Ida Vos, wrote the true story Who is not gone is seen. Bert, along with Klezmer Society musicians, tells the war story of his Jewish family and his own story as a child of Jewish absconders during World War II.
