Hafdis Bjarnadóttir’s latest CD is Já. That means Yes in Icelandic, pronounced “you,” and in many dialects it is pronounced as you inhale your breath, rather than exhale.
I have the honor of playing a few songs with them, including Manudans. We recorded this piece in her sister’s horse stable and it consists of her note material, her improvisation on guitar and my improvisation on accordion and voice.
