The dynamic Roadrunner Trio plays, improvises, writes and commissions writing. Music that balances on the border of modern, classical and traditional.
With “The Fence, the Rooftop and the Distant Sea,” the trio brings current events to the concert hall. Central to the program is the piece of the same name by Kinan Azmeh, founder of the renowned Silk Road Ensemble. He wrote it while stuck between his two homelands during Trump’s travelban. The concert will be complemented by their own music and folk music from Eastern Europe and the Middle East, arranged by the trio itself.
