Music for keyboard in a “well-tempered mood. Bach invented a new way of tuning that allowed you to play a piece of music in all keys without sounding out of tune. That was not common in those days!

Exactly how the vote is, there is no clear answer yet (nerd alert: click on the link). However, it does seem that the scribbles on the front page are a description of the vote:

Tuning is no longer common in this day and age; now most keyboard instruments (and accordion) are tuned “equal tempered”; an entire octave is divided into exactly 11 equal parts. So does an accordion.

22 Preludes and fugues, each with its own character, written for keyboard instruments of Bach’s time, such as the calvecimbel. The music is playable on accordion without editing. On accordion, you hear the music from a unique perspective. These include leaving out notes and playing with the different sound of the left and right hand.

For those who wish, the music can be followed along with the program booklet. No dry information and analysis, but fun and universally understandable leads. So that everyone can learn what a fugue is, hear the difference between minor and major, and experience why we still appreciate this music 300 years later.
