‘Black Birds‘ is the title of Kalevi Aho’s second sonata for accordion.

A five-part work, in which each part refers to the whistling of birds: night birds, day birds, mad birds, abandoned birds, and finally “black birds‘. Each section was depicted as a portrait by Erica herself in a painting.

The program will be complemented by other contemporary music and music by Bach.
